No one can prove anything to you. Only you can prove it to yourself.
Magic in Hollywood is what seems to have got you interested.
You must find proof, there is no physical proof.

So you bought a book, have no idea how to actually perform spells, and now are bummed because you read a few words on a page and lights and stars didn't shoot around you?

It's your job to prove to yourself, if you need to prove anything.

But if you aren't willing to WORK prior to casting a spell, don't be surprised that it doesnt work. Theres more to magick than saying a few words and hoping it works.

If you've been working at it for five years doesn't that mean you've poured alot of faith into it? Therefore you obviously believe it. You dont need anything proved to you if you have enough faith in the subject of interest.

you need the right spell components the right time to do the spell(s) faith the need to do it and also just like in videogames, you need the right amount of exp be4 you can cast stronger spells, thats how i see it eny way, and i would reccomend starting withe herb magick first, its 1 of the eseyest 1's to start with

I think that you've barely dove into it, and are still a beginner. I'd suggest learning basic energy manipulation, for that's easy to prove to yourself :3 (feel it in your hands/numbness ftw x3), after a few months, you should continue doing psionics, and take a hardcore long dive into magick. Read all the occult books you can get your hands on, the articles, information, history, redo your book of shadows, memorize some things, etc. You need to have some hardcore dedication to even get in to magick, let alone use it. And if you haven't performed any spells in succession for 5 years, then I don't think you have that. You need to start off from square one, and learn as I said before through hard work and dedication. There's not much we can do to prove magick to you, only you can prove it to yourself, and I wouldn't recommend asking random people to prove shit to you, as we are not a three ring circus ;).
Blessed Be,
Kody

proving magic is real is like proving the sky is blue its either blindingly obvious or you feel like being a smart A$$ and say its the human eye that makes it look blue instead of really being some other colour

I'm to tired to focus right now, honestly, I've been wracking my brain over one thing or another for the past 24 hours or so and now I'm exhausted. From what I see it looks to me like Kody is right. Even if you have had 5 years of experience, if you haven't gotten anywhere then maybe you need to focus more on energy manipulation. It's easy, it's kinda fun, I was interested in learning magic, but energy manipulation was enough to satisfy me once I found this site. At least for now. Try moving the energy through your body, grounding, making psi/chi balls, etc. The basics. Once you've gone through all that I'd say try the astral plain, but as tired as I am I may be leaving details out. I'm sure you'll find what you need to find, learn what you need to learn, and experience-wise you'll get where you want to be. :)
