Reading Runes

Hi Everyone,

I have experience reading tarot cards and I often get good readings and i have a strong connection to them.

However I have had a hard time connecting to my runes and using them to read. Does anyone have any tips or website links that could help?

Take some time and focus on one rune symbol at a time. Meditate on the rune. What it stands for, the energy it gives to you. This is one way to get to know the runes.

When reading, just try doing one rune spreads.

This is how I self taught myself. (Though I've only had my set for a short while, I still study to brush up before a reading.)

Thank you, so when doing one rune at a time the rune description I've got still only gives you one word. Which is why I think I have a hard time connecting with them.

Each rune can have multiple meanings. Theres an excellent book called "The Runes" by Lisa Peschel. She goes into detailed description of each rune, and they're reversed meanings, also explains the meanings of certain runes that are grouped together in a layout.
