Mad Mad House.

Recently, I stumbled upon an old SyFy T.V. show called Mad Mad house, where 10 "ordinary" people had to survive and adapt to living with a group of interesting people: a blood drinker, a wiccan witch, a voodoo priestess, a modern primitive, and a naturalist. I found it quite interesting because they had to participate in the different rituals and rites of these people, and when it came to the wiccan, about midway through the first season, she started invoking the dark goddess. I saw this and thought would a wiccan truly invoke the darker goddesses. I know that we are supposed to reckognize the yin and yang to the god and goddess, but would a wiccan really do that?

(This show was made in 2004, and only went on for one season, so i don't believe i'll be spoiling anything.)

Depends on the "type" of Wicca; there seems to be many different "Wiccas", especially in the USA.
When I first began to use this site, ten years ago, I knew of only one Wicca; that founded by Gerald Gardner, Doreen Valiente, and Alex Sanders. Now, that, traditional Wicca, would not have anything to do with any "dark" Goddess!
But there maybe other types of Wicca that would!

I am a wiccan and my family is heavy on the threefold law. I love natso much i became a vegaetarian. So to me this whole dark goddess thing is crazy. I had to bring some one back from the brink of death i know what darkness is, i cant believe she would practice darkarts. The dark goddess has no sense of hod. She could have cursed her where she stood!

From the premise alone I'm going to put money down it was scripted.

Regarding the 'dark goddess' it's possible. The God and Goddess have 'light' and 'dark' elements, and some people can call on the 'dark' elements but the times I've heard people call on the dark goddess they're referring to the new moon. Anything involving curses or living sacrifices or anything harmful probably wasn't a Wiccan and just thrown in for dramatic television.

The Dark Godess in Wicca is one form of the Triple Goddess! She is kinda dangerous to work with, but if U need her and U treat her with total respect everything will be ok! She is known for her wisdom and she is perfect for protection! I think using her in spells wouldn't be wise, prayers though would be a safer to do to her!

And actually Fiona Horne is not really a Witch. She admitted publically some time later that she just did it to further her singing career.

Even so, Neko and magic are correct. The darker aspect of the goddess is considered the crone. Her wisdom is often envoked for protection. Similar to the harshest of weathers, she is fierce and just. Of course, dark is subjective.
