accepting what i believe

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to make my parents accept my beliefs. They are Christian and even though I still believe in the Christian god they are scared about my practices. Any ideas on how to make them feel more comfortable?

Sometimes its not making them understand, some people see it as a certain view and no matter how you explain it does not make it better, have you tried explaining why you believe, and what it does for you, they may understand your feeling better if they see it is good for you.

I've tried but they say they're scared.

I'm assuming you're under the age of eighteen, so I'll keep this sparse.

While you live within your parents home, you do need to live by their rule. But you are allowed to think for yourself. I was 22 when I finally came out to my parents about my witchcraft and paganism. This was when I was a legal adult living on my own.

If need be, disguise your beliefs. That's what I did when I started out. My idols were small hand carved things, easily hidden among my socks, my alter was hidden in the woods, my hunting knife served as an atheme, and spells and prayers were but whispers or disguised as Christian prayers. My father was a pastor, and it did not hamper me from practicing.

Disguise until you can operate as an adult. O simply follow the rules of your legal guardians. Witches have always been secretive. The occult is built upon the concepts of secrets or hidden knowledge.

You might consider telling them you will only use magic for doing good, and it is ok because Jesus used magic to help people according to the gospel.
