Food Magick

I am currently learning to bake with the help of my mother but she isn't a witch or knows anything about witchcraft, so I hope this forum post will help me.

How does food magick operate?

Please give me an example for something that has to do with baking or some other type of cooking. Like boiling eggs or something.

I was taught that magic is the changing of one or more things into something entirely different. When I asked my witch teacher to give me an example, she said:-
"Take an amount of flour. Some water, some yeast,a little sugar, a little salt, a little oil. Mix them together. Would you eat that soggy mess? But if you apply heat to that mixture, a strange thing happens. It changes into something entirely different. It becomes bread! That's magic!"

Personally I use a bit of magic everytime that I cook a meal for my husband and myself. All that I do is push some energy into whatever I am cooking with the focused intent that the food should nourish our bodies and keep us healthy and strong. The nice thing is that this is a sort of magic that doesn't require tools, chants, or anything that someone who isn't themselves a Witch is likely to even notice you doing.

I think it's called kitchen witchery, but don't quote me.

There's a few things you can do like as you make food you charge it with energy, and you should stir clockwise, but it's more mindfulness, like you want to bring wealth you add herbs to your dish with these properties. Finish with a blessing of some kind.

Technically this is drink magic, but your post reminded me of my own technique Nekoshema. Whenever I make a cup of tea the direction I stir the tea and the intent and energy I do it with effects my intention for the tea. In the morning I invoke energy and stir clockwise with the intent to refresh and energise my mind ready for the day. At the end of the day I stir counterclockwise with the intention of destressing and relaxing.

Yes, that would be Kitchen Witchery. To put it simply, while cooking you can put for example energy, intent, herbs in food, you can chant or even sing :) Actually there is much more and if you are interested grab some books to read.

And Hadit - you have a nice habit ;)

You could look up some basic Kitchen witchery ideals. Such as what colours mean and stuff. My personal favorite on the matter in chinese medicine and cooking to balance the body, mind and soul.
