I have a question

I'm a newbie and I was wondering how you know if your defensive spells are working or not. Is there a way to know if a defense spell on your mind is actually doing what you want?

I would say that if what your defending against doesn't work it is working

I'm not defending against anything specific, It's a precaution. Is that a stupid thing to do?

Alright. And do you have any suggestions for good defensive spells, I've only found one that I like.

Depends on what strength how strong you are and who or what you are defending as well as against

What I'm really looking for it a spell to defend against everyday danger, like someone attacking me. I'm a beginner, so I'm not looking for anything too complex.

Magic can however call up spirits to guide & guard you so if you are about to get mugged they can urge you across the street. Has worked for me for years. Everytime Ive gotten hurt is because Ive ignored those urges and oft times threw caution to the wind. Its not foolproof though. If someone really wants to hurt me they just cross the street as well.
