sit in a quiet room where you won't be disturbed. sit comfortably [you could lie down, but you don't want to fall asleep] and focus on your breathing, repeat 'breath in breath out' in your head. other methods used includes classical music, incense, repeating a phrase, or a metronome. when you start, just focus on a sound, whenever you hear a noise or think of something, don't get discourage, simply ignore it. try to focus on your breathing for 30 seconds, then take a break. once you get use to silencing your mind for 30 seconds, try for a minute, and slowly increase by 30 seconds each time until you reach 5 minutes. once you can go that long you can try deeper mediation, energy work, shielding and balancing your chakra's.

I haven't had time to transfer info from my other account. Go to MobileWitch bio page. I have an easy meditation on the bottom. Its a good starter one. Relax, as you will get it. Then there is learning the basics so you know How magick works.
Here are some links to help you:

Also about.com is a good site for all kinds of info. Once there, put Wicca basics in the search bar. It will take you to basics of magick, too. I was on it for hours just looking and reading. And copy and pasted a lot of things to my computer.
Blessings!

Meditation can be quite difficult when you're just starting out.

Find yourself a palce where you won't get distracted. Sit down/lie down. Which ever is more relaxing for you. Now notice your breath, feel your breath, let it flow nautrally. Keep you focus on the breath. If you loose focus just set it back on the breath.
