Is it possible to be used as a communication pathway for an ancient being?
My friend told me she has been receiving messages and a strange language.

It does happen to people. It channeling essentially.

There are people who claim they hear a divine being (deities or other entities) and are given messages to give to others both willingly and unwillingly.

How common it is, I'm not sure nor willing to speculate.
