I've got a few questions on how to help your scabs heal. I remember reading something of the matter, but in all honesty.. I don't remember what I read :P
So, help?
Also what's good for cuts and scars? I know vitamin E is great for scars, but I don't know where I can find it in a natural substance.

well..

I have seen products like Neosporin and Calamine Lotion do wonders for scabs and scars. In fact, Have witnessed Calimine Lotion remove a 6" insision scar in about a month's timeframe with 2x daily application of the lotion on the desired area.

As for a more Holistic approach, you could try some of these approaches.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is used almost as a cure-all, thanks to its properties that help maintain a healthy pH balance and promote cell growth. The nutrients in apple cider vinegar treat scabs and other skin irritations, and have been found to reduce acne severity as well as promote cell growth to prevent scarring.
Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in one-fourth cup of water. Take a cotton ball and allow the mixture to completely soak into it. Apply the vinegar/water mix directly onto facial scabs, as well as any other scabs on the body. Once the area has been generously wiped with the solution, allow it to soak in for 15 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water and repeat on a daily basis until the scab has fallen off.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is commonly used for its antiseptic properties, which are beneficial when used to treat scabs and scars. This ingredient is available in both oil and gel composition; however, the gel is known to not be as effective as the oil.
Using a cotton ball or pad, apply a generous amount of tea tree oil directly onto the scab and the surrounding area. Allow the oil to completely dry before putting on clothes. Since the oil can take in upward of 10 minutes to dry, apply directly after a shower and allow it to soak in throughout your morning routine. Tea tree oil can also be used to treat mild to moderate acne scabbing.

Baking Soda Paste

Once a scab has fallen off, or is about to fall off, ensuring that a scar doesn't take its place can be done through a topical paste. Baking soda paste is commonly used to remove scabs and prevent or impede scars from forming. This remedy should only be performed once the wound is nearing its healing process, or if it is completely healed.
Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with half a cup of water and stir until a paste is formed. Take the paste and apply it directly to the scab/scar with clean fingers or a spatula. Apply the paste liberally until the entire area has been covered.
Allow the paste to completely dry, which takes 15 minutes on average, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat this remedy at least three times per week to properly remove a scab or to reduce the appearance of a scar.

Castor oil mixed with a little water or another oil like seasame and rubbed onto the area is a good way to keep scars at bay. My daughter has had some nasty injuries. One in particular was a skinned knee she repeatively skinned over and over again before it had time to heal. Basically her knee was entirely bloody! After a few days it would have a huge scab that would pop open and bleed. I soaked a large cotton ball in castor oil and seasame oil 50/50 and let it sit on it for 15-20min then without wiping it off, covered it. In a day the scab just fell right off with fresh perfect skin underneath. No scar.

For cuts that are not very deep i will recommand comfrey oil ,but you need to clean the wound first very well !Do not apply on very deep cuts only on surface ones .I use shea butter to help my skin to recover faster or i use aloe vera gell .In case that you have only calendula available use that too .Jojoba oil also is beneficial for your skin .You can also use goldenseal and gotu cola to help healing of the cuts .And keep all wounds disinfected ,you can use honey after you have cleansed the wound to keep the bacteria away .
Good luck .

Jojoba oil is rather a liquid wax which is produced from the seed of jojoba plant (prnounced hohoba ).The plant is also known under the latin name Simmondisia chinesis .Native to Southwest USA and Mexico .
It promotes healing of the skin and is addeded in lotions to act as moistorizer (for hair and nails it works too )it is also antimicrobial (agaist certain types of microbs ).It is the the oil which is almost identical with the human natural oil that we produce (it is called sebum ).Thus it is very easely and fast absorbed in the skin ,because it is enough light to penetrate the skin .Many other types of oils can not penetrate the skin for example so called baby oil they leave you with shiny and greecy feeling and of course it just sits there .
Because it is so alike to our natural oil it tricks the brain to think that we have secreted enough sebum and we do not need anymore ,thus it can protect you from break outs due to super oily skin .It not only prevent the super production of the sebum ,but it also moisturizes and protects your skin from bacteria .As we know skin fights bacteria secreting oil ,however when this oil mixed with bacteria clogs the skin pores, break out occurs .
Jojoba oil contains naturally vitamin E and also the very important for healthy skin and hair zink .
It is also very good for the hair and for the nails .

Here few more oils that are very easely absorbed from your skin and very good for it :grape seed oil ,apricot kernel oil ,argan oil .

More heavy oils such olive oil ,amla oil ,sweet almond oil are best used on your hair rather then the skin if you fear it will get supper oily .Castor oils is also with high viscosity that makes it very thick ,however despite that it can not penetrate the skin it can help on its surface .Castor oils also is believed to actually make your hair thicker .

hi, when i was a kid, i used to have a great hugh 30cm scar on my arm(farming accident) that i wanted to get rid of. my naturapath suggested fish oil. so i went and got fish oil capsules. every morning for 2 months i put 5 capsules on my scar. i would poke a hole in them with a pin and massage it in. (my mum got me the non-smelly ones). 25 cm of the scar is now gone. its been ten years since it happened and only 5cm of it still shows, but only faintly. hope this helps :)

I completely forgot about rosehip oil!

Rosa Mosqueta (rosehip oil of Chile) has been found in studies to flatten scarring, improves their color, and overall is fantastic in regenerating the tissue and healing the wound. Its to be used as soon as the wound heals with the red mark or scar showing but no broken skin. They did a study with burn victims and there was 97% improvement in 4 months when applied two times a day, massaging in gently. If it works on burn victims, it'll work on our smaller injuries beautifully.

I've never personally tried it. But the studies have phenomenal results. I wrote this down about four years ago. So I'm sorry I don't have sources. My source is my natural medicine binder filled with tons of hand written info I've copied down over the years from studies published in science/medical journals and other acclaimed sources.
