Help - Nightmares.

Not sure where this should go, so I'll put it here and hope for the best.

The past few months, I've been plagued with awful nightmares, resulting in only an hour of sleep per night. I've learned to live with this, however the past few weeks, the nightmares have been getting gradually worse and worse. This brings me to last night.
Last night, I had a horrible - potentially the worst I've ever had - nightmare. I woke up wanting to scream, yet I couldn't. I was paralysed. This is the first time I've been subjected to sleep paralysis.

Now, my question to you is this; how can I stop this from happening again? I've tried praying to the Lord to stop the nightmares and they lessened, but didn't stop. Is there any ritual or blessing or anything I can do to stop this?

Maybe it's from stress. If there's something going on in your life that's troubling you, it might be causing these nightmares. I think it's caused from negative energy, and it could be attracting spiritual pests. Try to look around for a good protection spell.

Try cleansed of negative energy. In the magic practiced by cleansing negativity. They can be made on the casting of lead or wax castings. There is also a cleansing of negativity that is done on the knife. Phase of the Moon, too, depends on the type of cleaning.

Banish any negativity or malicious spirits, cleanse your home, and protect your home, especially your bed/bedroom. Sleep with black tourmaline or hematite and amethyst under your pillow. Try scenting your room with lavendar (reed diffusers usually have lavendar available).

Try falling asleep to relaxing music. You can find CDs in most music stores labeled "sounds of nature" "relaxation" "sleep" etc with calming gentle music and relaxing sounds like gentle rain and ocean waves in the background. I would suggest letting it play throughout the night. If you use an android smartphone, use an app called LighteningBug. You can find similar sleep aid applications for iphone and the computer.

One theory is your chakras may be unbalanced.

You could buy a book to see how to heal chakras.

A little meditation to balance your energies before sleep will help.

You could be unintentionally be doing astral projection and when you step onto the astral plane you make your own world and the negativity in astral projection causes negative or malovelont spirits or entities. These very same entitites that may be causing your nightmares.

Nightmares can be caused by lack of sleep, and sometimes stress that may be going on in your current life. Stress is a big health issue with a lot of people, believe me i have had a lot of stress also and i try very to sovle the problems that is causing the stress first the best i can and so that helps you become more relaxed and calm. But white and the others are correct, look to see what might be causing your stress and nightmares first. Try to do some cleansing to get rid of any negative energy in your home it will help keep things calm and more peaceful. Also meditaiton and relaxtion is the best place to go. Meditate as many times as you can a day.

I agree mostly with what everyone has written here. Cleansing out of negative energies, relaxation cd's , Sleeping with crystals under your pillow, creating a crystal grid around your bed or underneath it if you are able etc.

Personally I also tend to see nightmares as something in the sub~conscious mind that one needs to face consciously. It will keep rearing it's ugly head until you do.(Note I said this is my personal opinion not absolute)

Try investing in a dream-catcher and bless it before hanging it.

one of the things I'd suggest are herbs. If you look online or in books for herbs and their powers you'll find a lot of them help fight nightmares
what I did was put the herbs in a small cloth bag and hong it above my bed. It really does help.
