Help with Spirit/Ouija

i already know the dangers of Ouija Boards and how to use them correctly. [disclaimer]

i have a spirit who has followed me for 9 years now [i call him Rori] he was very powerful, he could move things, open/close doors, talk to me, he'd take my stuff and hide it for fun as well as poke me and so on. as of the past year [maybe two] things have been changing, usually he was in 4 month cycles of activity [may and october being his most active] but as of late i can't sense him, feel him, see him, nothing has moved, no noised nothing. last night [Samhain] we had our annual chat [he never liked talking and especially not through a Ouija board, so we agreed only once a year through the pendulum] this year, he could barely move it, my friend who was always the one who he communicated through, could barely feel him when before it felt like two icy hands were slammed into her back, my other friend and i who could always hear him answer couldn't. [he could sense more than i could, but for the first 25 minutes i couldn't even tell if her was in the circle]

anyway, the point, he told us he has been getting weaker over the past year and he can tell he's crossing over but he doesn't want to go. in the past i have asked him if he wanted to cross over and if i could help him, and he's immediately said no to that. he did say, and the one thing i can sense from him even today, he's afraid, and he wants me to get a Ouija board for friday so we can talk. [something that before Rori would never agree to] he says he has things to tell me and that there is something i can do to help him stay.

the three things i want to know is, one, where can you get a Ouija board? two, how do you make a Ouija board [the Planchette mostly] and third, does anyone know of any ways to 'energize' a spirit?

If you have a Toys R Us near your house, you can get one but in my opinion those don't work very well. You might try looking ouija boards up on amazon.com and on ebay.com. If you try craigslist.org they might have some, but probably not, oh and the placette usually comes with the board so, you might not need one but, if you want to make one you can cut a piece of card board into a triangular shape and cut a circular hole in the middle big enough to be able to see the letter, numbers, and such through. Now, the others I can't answer so you might want to ask somebody else but, I hope this helps.

Oh ok, making a placette might be fun though. Also, I find that the older ones work really well. My mom's Ouija board that she gave me is from the nineteen fifties and it works better than my old Toys R Us one.

yea i'll probably just make one cuz it's quick, later on i'll make a better one. we use to have this gorgeous glass and stone one with faeries decorating it, but i found the letters hard to read, and Rori refused to use it, he made that Samhain night hell because we wanted him to use it.

lol that's an understatement. he's highly protective of me, and has been since we met, it's not so much my friends are scared of him, they just know what to say and what not to say when he's in the room. he's also got a scense of humour, mostly by tormenting people, poking them when they want to sleep, opening and closing doors, one time he turned off my tv while i was watching a show about haunting's. i joking said he better not get any idea's and the tv turned off. he turned it back on when i asked him too, but he does things like that sometimes... or he use too. this is why i'm torn, he's afraid to cross over, and he wants me to help him, and i don't want him to go, but am i being selfish? wouldn't it be better for him to cross over in the long run? but he's afraid, and doesn't want to go, so i should help. so confused.

Well, you can't make a ghost cross over if he doesn't want to but you can try to compromise with him. Tell him he can still come visit on Samahain every year and try to learn summoning, that way you two can still visit every once in a while. Don't worry, your not being selfish, you care about Rori. What is selfish, was me when I was young making a ghost promise to stay where I live until I die and then finding out that he was still here, having to break his heart by telling him that he had to cross over when I had made lots of promises to him when I was younger that I couldn't keep, now that's selfish. Sometimes you have to make choices that are hard, and it's sad when you have a friend who is a ghost and they have to leave but, would you rather him being stuck here, following you around your whole entire life, or being happy in the afterlife? Just tell him how nice it is and about how much fun he will have there with everyone else who has crossed over. If he says he'll miss you, tell him that you'll be there one day and not to worry about it. Tell him how happy he'll be and how everything will be fine. He ultimately has to make the decision and you can't force him to cross over. If he doesn't, drop it and wait a while and try to talk to him later.

thank you. i'll do that, i'm not sure if he wants to, he always hated the topic when i asked him, he's scared, so i don't know if the help he wants from me is to help him cross over or to stay here.

Ask him what he wants. I'm pretty sure he'd be much happier on the other side. It's got to be pretty nice there, for the ghosts who do decide to go, right?
