Having imagination and a big one is not a bad thing, it can be very powerful. I have a big imagination as well, the only thing I can say about it with my own personal experience is this. Don't let it control you and make sure that you can keep a balance between what is really reality and what is illusion.

No such thing! Being able to see, smell, hear, and taste something is an amazing asset in magick. In order to connect to certain energies the ability to totally encompass oneself in that energy can heighten your focus and grasp on that energy.

When I am invoking water for instance, I can imagine and actually feel the splash of water on my skin, hear the roar of waves, see them in my mind, and smell the fragrance that fresh bodies of water provide. I will actually sip water and if I cannot literally drink it, I will imagine drinking it and embrace its feeling, letting it become completely attuned to me. Then, and only then, will I begin to use water in a ritual or spell.

When casting a circle and calling the quarters, I experience every sense I can pertaining to that element using my imagination. The experience itself aids in the strength of the energy because the more we familiarize ourselves with it, the stronger our connection becomes to it, and then, and only then, can we truly allow it to work through us naturally.

We can only fully harness energy that we can relate to and what better relation than our interactions with them through the senses. But observation is key, so many people walk around ignoring their senses and cannot "imagine" how it feels, tastes, looks, smells, or sounds like. But the sign of a well observant person, is one who can relive those moments without having to physically experience them again.

This is excellent! Never lose it and don't look at it in a negative light. Many people take for granted that which they experience. You, however, do not.

you could have a chemical balance....

its not something supernatural but more on the ends of having a neurodysfunction

when your neurotransmitters are disrupt they tell the brain whats happening. in this making you smell things that one cannot normally smell.

does this worry you?
