Temporary curses?

I personally refuse to cast curses- I simply don't find myself angry enough to... but I've noticed a profound absence of disarming curses, and more or less an abundance of vengeful curses. For example, there is a curse listed for Blinding an enemy permanently... What if you simply wanted to teach that someone a lesson for making a snide remark about blind people and wanted to only have them blind for a few hours to a day?
I plan on researching it, because I am curious. I know also, in the same manor, mute curses also are absent. There is one, which only lasts for one minute... I feel if i ever felt the need to silence someone, I would want it to last a little while longer.
I know next to nothing about black magick and am simply wondering why these sort of curses, punishment more than vengeance, don't seem to be often used.

If anyone has any input I would like to know. :) Afterall, I am just learning.

It's all about how you choose to write the spell.

The spells provided here are written by an idividual(s) who ( supposedly ) had sucess in what they were after.

If you want to cause eye issues temporarily, you would write it and will it that way, mute for longer than a minute, same thing.

Now, I'm a bit confused on what you mean by "disarming curses", so I can't really reply to that lol.

i beleive she ment the ability to take the curse away after it has been initiated, all you would need to do is modify the wording of the spell so you can remove it at will:)

Well I learned that if you do a curse it comes back to you 3 times Trust me i know its true it happened to me becouse no 1 told me untill it was already done but if you do a spell that is only as bad as like somone not being able to see 4 like 5 min. then you will be fine but if it is worse then yes 3 times back at you.
I wish i could turn back though

Bless u :)

the law of three will only affect you if you believe in it. I am tired of ignorant people going around saying that when it's not always true.
that would be like a christian coming to the site and condemning us all to hell, wich personally it sounds more entertaining than heaven to me but thats not the point i'm trying to get across.

The law of three will only harm you or help you for that matter, if your wiccan or a similar faith believing in Karma.

as for a temporary curse, yes actually its quite simple to put limitations on a spell, its also alot safer, sometimes could literally mean the differance between life and death.

I don't have much experience with curses, but what I do know is that they take a good degree of skill to see effect(s) immediately like a temporary curse would. And for it to wear off, well that again would depend on who is doing the cursing.

In a sense, temporary curses are called hexes.
Look for hexes, you'll get farther. :)

Curses and hexes arent always the best choice to go with when trying to deal with something negative in your life... in my experience they only lead to bad karmatic reprecussions.

However what is confusing me right now is this idea of "temporary curses"... a curse is permanent unless you leave a way out like a break in the spell, a certain "key" to break the spell that has been casted.

The only thing that relates to temporary curses are hexes (someone else said aswell) which can be fun if used and written in the proper wording/way...

And just on a note of teaching... if you really want to try hexing no one can stop you, but seriously, go for a hex/curse with a "safe word" or answer that can break the spell. Some of the best curses i have read and used are in the form of riddles which cause harm to the victim until they can answer the riddle.

And as a form of punishment (depending on the situation) it can be quite useful if your victim will get away from the crime they committed. The only curses I use are letter hexes and jinxes because they are small scale and leave people in an unpleasant situation.

Hope this helps

Acoda's Curse in the hurt spells section is a temporary curse that I wrote i also refuse to use black magic but i do look into it a bit black magic is something that needs to be fueled once yo ucurse sombody you will often curse them again and again and with Karma here to protect everyone from useing black magick to kill each other all day everyhting we do will come back makeing it so repetitively doing curses can cause you to curse yourself out of your powers so you cant use magic if you keep curseing people eventualy it will drain your life force

That is not actually true, some things are real whether you choose to believe in them or not. I can choose to believe there is no KFC, but they will still keep cooking up chicken.

For some things belief is not necessary for them to exist, nor is belief necessary for consequences to exist. It is also dependent upon what you are actually doing. If you are speaking of real world physical actions, perhaps what you do will not come back upon you. If you are speaking of more subtle actions, sorry to tell you but, whether it be a rebounding force, or one which eats away at you from within, there is a consequence for trying to harm others. Especially if you are seeking to do so in a more personal, close to yourself way, meaning using more subtle methods, such as magic.

Ignorance only exists within a vacuum, where there is a lack of knowledge and understanding. Your words that something does not exist because you choose not to believe in it, strike me as the highest form of arrogance, and ignorance. Such relativism in the world of magic can be very dangerous, to you.
