I think there is something called carbon freezing,
in which you are basically frozen.
When you are thawed you are just as young
as you were when you were frozen,
but I'm just getting this from Austin Powers.
That is something new in the world of science, they have been freezing people with liquid nitrogen, since the people that pay to be frozen, do not have cures for their disease yet, thus frozen in the hope that the future holds cures for their current cancer/disease. Problem - No one has been thawed yet, they also need to find a way to successfully thaw a frozen person without any tissue damage.
This falls under the category of Cryogenics.
Btw, I think immortality is to stay young. It doesn't mean that you cannot be killed, just that your physical body age should stay the same. I am not going to put anymore insight onto this topic.
For the first part,
that is interesting.
I wonder what would happen to the frozen person
if the ice broke. >:)
For the second part,
immortality follows decomposition.
After you are dust,
you won't look a day older
then you did on the day that you turned to dust. :)
I agree with the soul being immortal, but I was wondering if you are only concerned with the physical aspects. I think immortality isn't just by looking young and staying that way. I think that a person can become immortal by actions...ex Albert Einstein, John Handcock, etc
Here`s my thinking. Over the years thousands, no millions of alchemests, scientists, philosophers, magicians, wiches, and just plain people have tryed to discover the secret of immortality. If all of them couldnt figure out how to physicaly preserve a body and still be able to live in it, then it can`t be done. But, what if you could learn how to posses, i know it`s possible, i just don`t know if it could be a permanent thing. If your soul could travel into the body of someone else, then essentialy, you could live forever!
