I know this is a very commonly asked question/topic, but can you cleanse a crystal in sea water? How long must i keep it in? Would i recharge it with moonlight?

Any form of water can be used to cleanse a crystal, but you have to be careful as some crystals can disolve in the water.

Usually a small dip can cleanse them, or you can pour seawater over them as running water is another form of cleansing.

If you wish to use the crystals for a certain purpose then recharging them in any way is a good idea, but if you merely want to remove negative energy then I don't see much need to re-charge them until you want to use them.

So soaking them in sea water would work? What about incense? Can wafting the smoke of the incense over the crystals work as a cleansing method?

Smoke is one of the most common crystal cleansing techniques, you can use sage smoke or incense smoke.

Soaking them can work but a lot of crystals can react with salt and many can get damaged in water so maybe running water is best and then dry them off.

I myself cleanse my crystals in water sea water is good because its been used for centuries for purifcations. Becareful some crystals desolve in water like Selenite is one of them and the water becomes toxic. I would cleanse crystals that cannot be in water with smoke. Some people use sea salt and rosemary in which they put the crystals in a brown paper bag with sea salt and rosemary leave there for 3 days. Smoke is also very good for cleansing I use often times a mix of incense of: Frankincense,Myrrh,Musk and Amber. My friend who own a metaphysical store she cleanses her crystals by burying them in her back yard and she leaves them for a week she told me that the earth cleanses them and charges them. there are so many ways of cleansing your crystals its all about what you have at hand and how you can use them. Hope this helped.

You can also bury your crystals in the dirt or you can also use the full moon light to cleanse crystals.

I am sure sea water would work, as long as its a natural source in my opinion. But make sure your crystal doesn't have a bad reaction to the sea water, I would look that up first. I think just a simple wash should work, nothing too long, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
I am not so sure about recharging, but I would do it just incase.
