hi, i really like a man who i would like to get to know, but know how badly his ex emotionally hurt him, she is also a manipulator because she uses him and doesnt want anyone else to have him. i really need help getting her to leave him alone and some how help heal his emotional pain, then i would probably stand a better chance of approaching him and trying to show him i wont hurt him, i have just started taking an interest in the law of attraction, anyone else used this with results or know of any other way i can deal with these problems

Sounds similar to what my brother is dealing with as an ex, except she wants nothing to do with him and does not allow him to see his own kid, etc manipulates, is narcissistic and delusional and above all: Toxic.
Best way to deal with Toxic people as far as the metaphysical goes, get some separation spells/freeing spells/warding spells, etc that can get them away.
As for the mundane, get a restraining order. Or file for harassment. Either way or both can help.

Take your time. Lots of it. He probably now has trust issues so be there for him and do not be pushing or expecting too much from him since he can think you're trying to do the same thing his ex did to him, since people like this can hold that pain for a long time and be slightly paranoid that it can happen again and then that all ties to trust issues.
sorry to hear about your brother, i agree this woman is toxic she has totally ruined him and has him on a lead, he is such a gorgeous person going to waste. x
I went through something similar. My ex could not tolerate having no control over me even though we were no longer together. My best advice is distance; a loss of contact with that person. They don't need a reason why; just cease communication.
Cutting communications might not work, especially when one has not detached from the emotion of 'love' . Rather they work on letting emotion go. It eases things up.
