Traditionally it is bread, milk, and honey placed in a bowl and set among the flowers in a garden with shiny trinkets as offerings to the fae. This draws them to the space. No spell or ritual will magically give you the ability to "see" the fae or other wee folk. Through meditation and working with the third eye one can gain the ability to sense the fae and other magical beings and energy. I also suggest you leave something for the fea to do once drawn to the area. Traditionally it would be helping the plants and animals to grow or other natural occurrences

I usually place a bowl of a honey milk mixture and place it on the windowsill garden [when I had an actual garden it would go there] bread wise, I'm told saffron bread is best.

Seeing fae I'm not too sure. Personally when I see fae it's this beautiful purple orb, but I'm told different types have different colour. Try meditating near the offering.
