No, it's not a violation of Wiccan ethics to do magic for personal gain.

We do that all the time. Spells to get a job, to have enough money to pay the bills, to bring us happiness. All of these involve personal gain and yet there is nothing unethical about them as long as no harm is intended or inflicted upon another.

I'm not wiccan, but in general magic *should* be benefitting you in some ,meaningful way.

The better question is does such spells go against yours? To cast a spell to bring something to you, you possibly took it away from another. Do you consider this harmful, not harmful, or a necessary step to prevent more harm? It's your view really. Regarding if it's not Wiccan, no, you can cast a spell to benefit yourself and on the surface is not against anything like the Rede.
