Garlic: Allium sativum, Stinkweed

Garlic is a biennial, herbacious plant with an origin to Central Asia and over 7,000 years of use. Onion, Leek, Shallot and Chive are it's relatives. Garlic's roots are irregular, condensed, and flattened, also with steep and narrow, flat leaves. Garlic has a plethora of health benefits which include slightly lowering blood pressure to helping prevent cancer, especially of the digestive system, and they are also used to fight infectious disorders.

Mythological beliefs stated Garlic was a herb to keep vampires away and werewolves at bay. Brailled Garlic was hung up to ward away evil spirits. Brides to be was said to be "beated" with Garlic to protect them from future illnesses and to have healthy children.

Today, Garlic is a common kitchen herb used almost everyday, but most do not even know Garlic is so much more than they think it is. It's Magical uses arehealing, protection, exorcism, repulsion of vampires, and purification of spaces and objects.It is used to invoke Hecate. Guards against negative magic, spirits, and the envy of others. Hang in the home to bring togetherness to the family or keep your willpower strong. Said to ward off bad weather when worn or carried during outside activities. Believed to absorb diseases -- rub fresh, peeled garlic against ailing body parts then throw the garlic into running water.

Short but informative, I like it :)

In addition: I use garlic for healing running nose. I simply peel it and put it near bed for night, where sick person is. It helps to breathe and disinfects air.
