Meditating

Hi, I am new to this but I have been doing lots of research. The one thing I have become aware of is meditating. I have been trying but I have difficulty with visualisation. I would really like to open up my minds eye and myself in general but I really struggle with the visualisation part. Any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just keep practicing with meditation, and work slowly at visualization - starting with simple, easy concepts before moving onto detailed visuals.

Visualization is actually an advanced form of meditation. The keys to meditation are to first learn to control your physical body. Many of the general forms of meditation are used in modern medicane to relax the body and to get rid of stress. This is the basis of any meditational practice. In other words you have to train your body to relax first so that your mind and thoughts can come to the forfront. Then you need to learn to clear your mind of all the clutter that flows through it on a regular basis and to be able to approach things with a clear mind when you want too. Then when you can control the clearity of your mind you can start to build concentration through various excercises like visualization. So you really have to start at the bottom and work you way up.

As stated before, start simple. Ex an apple

(eyes open) study it. Its texture, smell, color, taste, are there any blemishes,

Then close your eyes and try for a minute or however long you can try to see the apple. Then try to smell it while visualizing it. Then once you can see and smell it in your minds eye, try to taste the apple.
