Life force and death

I'm reading a book on reiki right now and was thinking about life and how all living things have a life force, take it in, and use it in some shape or form whether they are aware or not. But what happens when you die? Does this life force become apart of the universe? And just a thought, would some consider life force as part of ones soul? It just amazes me that as biotic beings that we are made up of as much science as we are spirit and forces of the universe. Our bodies are made of elements on a periodic table, cells, organs, etc., yet they would all mean nothing without something tying them together---a soul in one form or another.
So this is all I ask before I finally go to bed. :)

I would say that scientifically, we would just disappear. Spiritually we could move on or stay here and help others. Hope I cleared it up a bit! :)

i don't think anyone knows for certain, but i think your life force when you die becomes energy in the universe and a spirit. it splits up, there's the life force you were born with, that will live on and be reborn, but the energy you gain by living, that you pick up throughout the day, that will go back into the universe to be used by others. that's how i see it anyway, i could be wrong though lol.
