Intermediate Spells
By:
I have been doing magic for a couple months now and I am able to successfully do what usually qualifies as begginer spells like weather, protection, good luck, cleansing, and banishing spells and was wondering if their were more difficult spells I could try that are more difficult but not extremely hard like the title of this thread, Intermediate Spells. I want to do this to see what level of spells I can do and to further my skills in this. I also am lacking materials like candles so please take that into account. Thank you in advance :).

Hmm, I jut practice the old stuff until it happens by accident, then the intermediate spells u speak of sound like old spells, which are harder BASICLY because hey is old XD so look up old magic, that's my best guess

Perhaps harder spells would include rituals or spells with a lot of ingredients needed, or ones that take more than one day to complete.

I find that 'intermediate/hard/etc.' Spells and rituals would have a lot more energy having to be used and more ingredients and a longer, more complex chant and order of actions you have to do. It depends on they type of spell and magick you are doing.

You don't need a new spell to get to a new level of complexity in casting. Simply study about things that can add more focus and power to the spells you currently know. Add the moon phases, more ingredients such as herbs and stones, invoke a deity or two, or simply throw in a new incantation that specifies or amplifies the purpose of the spell and takes it to a new level. You can also study seals, talismans, runes and the like and work some of them into your spells. If you really put your mind to it, you can turn a simple blessing into a seriously complex ritual.
The difficulty of a spell isn't found in the purpose of the spell itself, but the dedication of the practitioner and the amount of time they are willing to spend to make the spell work perfectly.

Of course, each individual in witchcraft and spellcasting can be quite different: for example, something you struggle with, another person might find extremely easy. And vice versa. However, I also completely agree with Hexen. Spells that require you to exert more energy, complex chants, more preparation- most would find to be more difficult.

I'd suggest you start with what spells you feel would come to you more naturally and you think you would use with frequency. Take into consideration what areas of magic you are more interested in and you feel you would connect to.

Remember, thought and feeling are powerful. They are the most important tools, in my opinion.
