Write your own spells

There's absolutely nothing wrong with using other people's spell (or a book full of them), there are times when you may wish to use your own. It may be that you cant find what you're looking for or you might just feel a need to use original material. Whatever your reasons, its not hard.

Here's how:

(1) Figure out the goal or intent of the working. What you wish to accomplish? Are you looking for prosperity? Hoping to get a better job? Trying to bring love into your life? What is the specific aim of the spell? Whatever it may be, make sure you're clear on what you wanted.

(2) Determine what material components you'll need to achieve the goal. Will the working require herbs, candles, stones? Try to think outside of the box when you're composing a spell. (There's nothing wrong with using unusual ingredients in a working)

(3) Decide if timing is important. Some traditions, moon phase is crucial while in other its not significant. Remember: positive magic on waxing moon. Negative ot destructive magic on waning moon. If you're confident of not worrying about time with magic then go for it.

(4) Figure out what wording you want to use. Chant something formal and powerful to call upon something? Or mutter something poetic?

(5) Put it all together and there you have it.

What you need:
1: Intent.

2: Supplies.

3: Your own Book of Shadows.

To be able to succsefully write your own spell you must first of all be knowlegeable and have a good understanding of using magic.

If you are a beginner, my advice is to do your own spells. That way itll be easier for you but you don't have too.

Its a misconception that the waxing moon is used for negative purposes. It can be used to remove something from your life. While the waxing moon can be used to draw things into your life. For instance if someone is suffering from a longterm illness, the waxing moon can be used to draw good health while during the waning moon, the focus should be removing the illness from the body.

The same goes for widdershins verses deosil. Many think widdershins is a negative direction. But it was originally significant of the moon while deosil of the sun. Or similarly to the above, it can be used to banish unwanted energy while deosil evokes energy to come forth.

So I got the waxing and the waning moon part backwards?

No I don't think you got it backwards. Think of it like if you use the waning moon to banish illness, then you've also brought health. That's what I thought of anyway. Getting rid of something negative brings something positive. Is that right?

Also good post. I see people ask this, and it's kind of difficult to explain, for me anyway.

Both the waxing and the waning moon can cause positive or negitive effects. You can bring happness on someone aswell as saddness with the waxing and you can push away anger from a household as well as push away stability with the waning.

I'm sorry, that was a typo. I meant waning not waxing in the first sentence. I did write it the correct way in the rest of that paragraph tho

What i do is i use Latinic alphabets for my spells and rituals.

Most words i dont understand, but then again, chanting the spells in Latin just makes them more powerful in my opinion.

The important part of my spells and rituals are to know what the spell/ritual is that i am casting and even though i dont understand the words, its the will-power and belief that makes them work.

Words and grammars arent important, whats important is the passion and raw will power that you are putting into your spells/rituals that make them work, its about building this energy within yourself and releasing it,with passion.
