I believe there are spirits, and there are thoughtforms mistaken for spirits. But, the thoughtforms being a form of spirit in their own right.

As for why i believe this topic is surrounded with so much controversy? Well, to sum up the existance of something that may or may not be held in high reverance so simply is going to get someone upset.

I feel the same way..but I think the majority of the things we may see or feel, or sometimes even talk to are thought forms. And because strong acts of will are often fueled by emotion, it makes sense that some entities have an unfinished business to tend to, and seem to possess knowledge comparable to their origin. I thought of this at length when the theory of truth came about.. if you believe it to be true, then it is, even if only to you.. This made me think of all the "christians" who believe they will "go to heaven".

Think of our sun, our light/energy source. Considering all things as energy, those "going to heaven" would become, once again, part of the universal energy, or "sun", if you will. And those who believe otherwise may be reborn to continue their journey to perfection( in other words, to reach the highest astral plane.)

This is a rather old theory, but please feel free to discuss your understanding of spirits compared to thought forms. :)

Sorry.. rambling again, :(

"nothing is true, everything is permitted"
