Hello,

I am new to this site and Magick. I am trying believe more in Magick as have never seen one before myself. I think what led me here is my interest in Elemental Magick. Can someone get me started on this?

Firstly, I have a few questions to ask.
-Why do some people end a message with 'blessed be'?
-Is there any consequences to casting spells? After-all, the power has got to come from someone or somewhere right?

Thank you

Yours Sincerely

If you're new then you need to learn your basics.

*Meditation

*Visualization

*Grounding

*Centering

*Belief in yourself and your abilities

*Circle Casting and Releasing

*Correspondences (colors, days, lunar phases, etc)

As for elemental magic, there is a coven in the groups section dedicated to that particular topic. The coven being name Elemental Magick, go to the groups menu then scroll down until you see the link to the coven. Click on it and then click apply to the coven.

"Blessed Be" is the shortened form of a Pagan greeting or farewell. However, as time passed it was shorted to "Blessed Be" but it still implies the full greeting/farewell.

It depends on who you ask. I personally, like many others believe that whatever energy you send out will be sent back to you threefold. Others believe that there are no consequences. Either way, I would caution you to be careful with the type of spells you cast and how you use magic.

Magic is the natural energy in the world around us. We tap into that energy when we cast spells and perform other forms of magic. However, this energy is also often viewed as a gift from our deities.

Thank you Lonicera.

May I ask, what is Visualization, Grounding, Centering, Circle Casting and Releasing?

For correspondences, I learnt about the lunar phases via the Tips section on the Home page. Can you tell me where I can learn about the others?

So 'blessed be' can be used to greet people and bid them farewell too?

Actually, I don't know whether am I Pagan, Wicca or something else that I have yet to hear of. Is there a way to tell?

Thank you once again.

Yours Sincerely

finding out wich path is the right path for you can be a long process you have to reasearch and study and reaserch some more. but it is also the fun part, you learn about all the diffrent paths of others and choose which one is comfortable for you. start out with a book with just the basics of magick or wicca or which ever you decide to look into first. Then that will tell you everythiing about grounding, centering, visualization and all the basic starting points. good luck on finding the path right for you

To lala1212 and L.Archanis:

I have never heard anyone talking about Magick in the place I am staying at. So I think that getting a grimoire might be very hard. Can I find them in libraries?

Thank you for the luck and help you two have given me.

I just hope that choosing this path of believing in Magick is right for me.

Yours Sincerely

Elemental magic? i suggest you start with the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, which can be easily found on google. Read up on hermetic philosophy too. As generally thought around here basics are key, but they differ from person to person.
My idea of the basics:
-The ability to formulate a clear intent.
-The focus to raise enough energy to fulfill your intent.

There are many, many methods to do both of these. Find what works by experimentation.
