Could someone help me?

I haven't practiced magick in awhile. It's been a few years. I'd really like to go back to it but the thrill I got from doing it is now gone. Is there any way to make magick exciting for me again or is it something that I should be over and done with?

Don't do something just for the cheap thrill; especially magick.

It is greatly dangerous to seek simple amusement out magick in such a manner.

We can not help you get that thrill back for it only comes back to those who don't seek it, those who take what they do seriously, and as a part of their spiritual existence; those who find the enlightenment in magick itself thrilling enough.

Please try to remember we don't teach things here like pulling rabbits out of hats or escaping from chains with a hidden picks.

Do not get me wrong... I never did magick just for the thrill. I vowed I would dedicate the rest of my life to magick. I just seemed to lose hope in it after awhile, and I want that hope back. The only spell I ever seem to use now is a finding spell (which does work most of the time).

ok, we can rule out doing magick for entertainment. If you want to go back to practicing magick, doing a type of magick you like. Something that interests you.

Maybe look at a different system of magick moonlight, go beyond spells and just see whats out there. I mean theres a welath of different types of magick on this site, weather it be in the covens or through discussions in the forum and just have a look online and maybe do some reading. 12 years ago i started ceremonial/high magick as i had done the spells and what have yous and decided that i wanted to expand my ideas and what i practiced and since them i;ve looked at many systems and practiced each one

Magick is something that is sacred, and should be viewed as a gift a blessings, not something that can give you a rush or a thrill. You should reall take your time and ask your self if this path is righ for you

Hope as you speak is easy to find. :)
Just remember the strength of will.

"Where there's a will there's a way"

I agree as said above that there is so much out there; if you need a bit of a change in your direction, just think about what you desire most out of magic (as you said, not the thrill) and study up on things that can make that happen.

Since you speak of hope in particular might I suggest philosophy?
This specific subject really brought me out and opened my eyes along with raising my I.Q a tad. ;)

Just a litel part about you wish to 'regain the hope' part.
That you 'lost your way' what magick is/do for you. The philosophy part that the wise lady abow are talking about is fine for this.

'what do you wish to give' and where you want to go. (what you want to learn)
to realise what you truly want, and/or need.
Make it your wish. A wish can grow to hope.

One thing that helps many on theyr path. Isn't just to seek 'out' to find somthing.
But also to seek 'in' yourself.
'who am i, what am I. To me'

there is many ways to do things. Many paths.
'how can I know mine, if I don't know me? '

might be usefull for you. Or might not be your way.
But it's one:)
