Honestly I'm not sure I just overheard my friends talking about it. When I joined in they didn't get very specific but they talked about how I could control someone's mind with my own

the theory behind controlling another person's mind is very very difficult to say the least and it has only ever been theory someone can help make someone make a choice or do something which they wouldn't normally do but it's hardly control it's more like suggestion and them taking it on board to control someone completely or at all it would require someone doing something which they themselves don't wish or want to do.

if i am to believe you on this post (that's a big if) then i would say you didn't control merely influenced.

One must also consider ethics. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.

Within hoodoo there are works (or jobs whatever) to influence someone's mind. But hoodoo tends at time to focus more on the world around us,natural tools etc. rather than mental magic workings.
However I think everyone agrees that the spell it will be likely to happen if the person is somehow tended to do the action in the first place.

Of course, don't think that just if you imagine a person to a thing, you will immediately influence him nor put stocks in any fantasy stuffs.

There are several ways. Marketing strategists and salesmen use NLP techniques to influence people. I have read about a Huna technique calle Piko Piko that is said to be useful in remote influencing. These techniques were created by Max Freedom Long, and although they are not genuine Hawaiian shamanism, they do fall in line with widely accepted occult theory.

I do not believe this to be an occult thing I merely believe it to have been misconstrued into the occult. I believe this to be a matter of wills with a bit of standard profiling ie. If I were to try to force my will on to someone such as brysing ( just an example brysing) I would more than likely fail in my attempt to get him to do what I want because he has a strong will and is not easily swayed from his way of thinking. Now by the opposite token if some newbie joined who said they absolutely needed a mentor to learn magic ,this person would have a much less stronger will and would be very easy for me to bend them to do what I want them .they have already stated they have a submissive will by there " need " for a mentor and a lack of wanting to teach themselves from this point it's a matter of using there weaknesses to your advantage. Thus one would assume I have control of there mind yet really I'm just using there disadvantage of experience and a submissive will to my ends. On a side note I abhore this type of thing and would never do such a thing but it does work as a good example.
