Cats are a symbol of witchcraft. In the past if a people had a cat (especially black) was accused by witchcraft.Even cats were persecuted.

People believe that cat are evils because their independent nature and because they walk in night.

Also, people believe that cats were witches familiar (cats are a classic familiar).

Some myths said that witches can transform in cats.

All cats were saw like messenger of devil.

The reputation of cat in medieval epoch wasn't one good.

Well during the Witch Trials, people were not accussed for being "Witches" by having black cats. Even back throughout times, "Black Cats" were actually producted in the craft by Hollywood. If you are talking about Similars are however you say that, those are animals we feel that we are connected to.

Now, I am not to sure if that is completly true, this is because man and animal have drifted so much apart from the past.

Any references and sourcesto support this? Sounds more like conspiracy for right now.I would like to see, please.

Perhaps cats are considered a symbol of witchcraft for some people. Other people may not think the same. Honestly, the way you described cats being a symbol made me feel like you were saying witchcraft was bad which I do not think it is. I would also like to see some positive situations that involves this as well.

Plus I have yet to see a myth suggesting that witches can transform into cats. Fake stories, yes, but not myths.

fun little fact, in medieval Europe the fear of cats being associated with the devil was so great thousands were killed. as the cat population dropped, mice and rat populations grew. coupled with the unsanitary conditions of the time, the bubonic plague spread so quickly. if they weren't killed, the cats would of kept the rat population under control and many lives would of been saves. but then we wouldn't have the rhyme 'ring around the rosey'.

most nocturnal animals, as well as black animals, like dogs, ravens, crows and bats, were considered evil and killed.

Okay, I've read encylocpedias of the unexplained and some history stuff. In Germany during medieval times, thousands of cats were burned alive in a mass trial. Here and there you will see superstitions about witches turning into various things like snakes or cats or ravens or crows or magpies. It wasn't necessarily a black cat that could potentially get you accused, it was just a cat, especially if someone didn't like you or they hated your cat. In se parts of Europe white cats are bad luck instead of the "traditional" black. There's not much research on why cats specifically are "evil" but those who hung by the gallows were also considered witches, especially if they appeared to be talking to crows or ravens, which were seen as death birds since they frequented execution sites. I cannot tell you how the cat thing went from being just cats to black cats, though, but I can tell you that some cultures believe the hare to be a death omen or something like that because of some of it's behaviors.
