Making love brew
By:
Today I am making a love brew for a girlfriend of mine, and the ingredients are as follows.

First Brew:
Dried Mint
Sage
Saffron
Tamarind root
Dried Violet
Whole Vanilla Bean
Some Barley Tea
and the peel of an apple

Second Brew (of the same liquid):
Fresh Mint
Dried rose petals
Fresh apricot
fresh lemon balm
and violet petals

In total I estimate it will take an hour for it to finish. I am using about 24 ounces, 2 parts blessed water, one part rose water and one part barley tea.

Any questions or suggestions are welcome! I will update later on today how it turned out.

It's one potion with two brewing stages. :) So the barley tea/rose water/ blessed water is brewed with one group of herbs and strained, then a second group of herbs.

So the brewing process went well. I am glad I separated my delicate herbs and flowers from my more hearty plants. The brew reduced from 24 ounces maybe down to 18. This isn't a "make them love me" type of brew, but more of a "show them my love" potion instead. My girlfriend is going to meditate on her feelings for her special someone and then share the brew with them like tea (though I doubt they will drink all of it). I will update again with how it goes with them.

This seems really interesting and I am eager to hear how it went with others :) this is the first time I have heard about a love brew so it really is interesting. Definitely will have to try this one myself at some point.

Thanks for sharing.
