Caution the herbs mentioned here are exteremely toxic

I noticed that there are spells in the site that include some non friendly herbs. Many herbs used by many paths for rituals and spells can be very harmful for people's health. So I decided to introduce some of those herbs here in order for beginers at herbalism to avoid using them.

  • Atropa Bella Donna
  • Beautiful lady as the word itself reveals. The legend sais that a very beautiful woman was always spotted near this herb. Bella Donna was known as a herb used from "witches" for years. There are many myths about this herb and a lot of misunderstanding about its use.

  • People used to say that was the herb that made witches fly ofcourse in this case the word "fly" is just symbolic reffering to astral projection.
  • Bella donna was also said to be used for beauty and attractiveness. There are legends saying that the witches secused men after the consumption of this herb since it made them beautiful.
  • (Note the consumption of this herb causes the pupils to dilate which makes people see things differently and there is a theory that the dilation of pupils was considered very attractive at the time of this legend. Do not attemp the consumption of this herb with no guidence it is exteremely toxic and its consumption can be lethal)

  • Datura
  • Datura is a herb that is used usually in hexes and curses but it can also be used as an incence to avoid negativity and it can be also used for protection against hexes or curses.

Datura however is very toxic (seeds and flower) and can be lethal. It was used for suicides in India. If ingested it can have really bad effects like inability to seperate the real from the unreal, bad halluciations, photofobia etc.

  • Wolfsbane, Aconitum
  • This herb is also known as the "queen of poisons"

This herb has its own legends. It was said to protect people from werewolves and also to be the cure for werewolves.

Note: the legends mentioned above were just legends that did not reflect on reality.

I completely agree! I think that all spells that use toxic or dangerous herbs should have a warning, in red. For myself, I have studied all sorts of herbs, even the toxic ones. I have found that most of them have a safer to use substitute. Generally if it is not also used as a culinary herb/spice or as medicine, I don't use it.
