Spell writing tips?

I'm writing a love spell. Yes I do know it's definitely what I want. I've heard that writing your own spells have more potency than any other. So, I'm thinking I'm just going to write down my desires, in full detail so hopefully nothing could go wrong, and light a red candle, ground, centre and shield then say the spell 3 times over. Is there anything else I can do to give it more chance of working? Any particular gods I should call upon? Should I use incense or anything else like that, use more than one candle? Do I do anything special with the paper once I've finished? And I've heard that talismans make spells more potent, how do I incorporate that? I know you have to kind of 'charge' it but, how do I do that just try to push my energy into it? Thankyou!

P.S. Please don't try to convince me not to do a love spell.

What I would do is trust my own instincts on what I think I should do. It's your spell. You should decide if you want to add something, cut something out, or just leave it the way it is.

You can use incense if you wish, you can call upon the goddess Aphrodite(Greek),Venus(roman),Parvati(Hindu) (all of them are for love) but just call on one.
You should keep the paper in a safe place and you can keep a light candle (light the candle on the same time on the same day as you did the spell).
Also do the spell on a Friday pay attention to what type of moon there is and the planetary hour.
You can even incorporate oil if you wish such as rose oil which can be placed upon the candle and the paper.
You can also use parchment paper instead of ordinary paper although you dont have to any paper would do but one pleasing to the eye (one you like)will work also use your favorite pen, pencil, marker whatever. If you like the paper your using and the object to write it with then your putting together things that you like after all ingredients, objects and such are important to the spell and the way perceive each item affects it as well.

Hope that helps.

Everything you do must reflect your intent. Dress your red candles with rose oil. Use words that reflect your intent. Gods Goddesses Archangels if you believe in them. Fire represents passion so use the fire element to your advantages. Djinn is the king of the salamanders (fire elementals). Invite him to the circle.

Also use rose quartz or Ruby. Almost forgot about that. Do me a favor. Do not come whining to me WHEN it backfires

You could also carve your intention into the candle and after performing the spell do a visualization of the two of you together and happy. Also think about incorporating herbs and spices associated with love.

I would suggest researching the different aspects of a spell: how to charge, what correspendences are and choose the ones that best relate to what spell you want to cast, learn the general order and rythem to sucessful spells and once to learn all of that put together the spell. You want to use all of the aspects of the spell to focus your energy and mind on what you want. Read about how to send your energy out and find a technique that suits you. Now, the trick is to be able to gather energy and focus as much as possible without trying to do so much that you lose focus and you lose tge flow of the spell. Practice your words and what you are going to do and when you will do it. The more you can flow through the spell and keep your focus, the stronger your spell will be.

I reccomend calling apon Venus, for she is the goddess of love. Also, maybe have a flower or something else romantic. Good luck!

You could always call upon Aphrodite. She is the Greek goddess of love and anything beautiful.
