Uses of Amethysts

Wow! Until now, it never occurred to me just how useful amethysts are, but apparently they are quite indispensable...
Here are some of the uses of amethysts: healing, meditation, repelling nightmares and enhancing intuition, to name a few. Does anybody know of any other uses for amethysts? If so, please share them with me. Thank you!

I work with amethyst above all other crystals. They are also used for enhancing and stimulating the third eye and the crown chakra. And enhancing psychic abilities such as visions, precognition, clairsentience, and more.
Just be careful when exposing them to too much sunlight or too much heat. Sunlight can be used to charge an amethyst but can change its properties and colour to be a Citrine or Ametrine (if part of the Amethyst is made Citrine)
