Reincarnation

My are belief is that in the very beginning humans were male and female in one body. One head with two faces. Four arms. Two legs. Reproductive organs of both male and female. Zeus became enraged at the human race from jealousy and so he split humans info males and femalescas we are today. This brought about soulmates. And each life you and your soulmate will live at the same time. The same life. The goal is to find each other and be with each other. There is another goal that is to try to perfect your life every life. Perfect for your self and perfect with your soulmate. You will change every life in any possible way. Race. Personality. Location. Appearance. Etc. Usually in small. Details. Some times majorly. When one thing is perfected it will stay that way. Once every thing is perfected you will be reincarnated the same every time. With each life that life gets embedded within the soul. The lives that follow all have the potential to unlock memories, energies, abilities, and the like from previous lives. This comes from not only remembering past lives but also tapping into those lives through the soul. You may even need to heal those lives as well.

This is merely my opinion and personal belief on reincarnation and how it is. Disagree with it or agree. Every one has a different believe.

I believe that when we die we go to heaven and set out our plan for 100 to 200 years then go back down as someone or something else.

Well I believe that everything is energy and that we are concious forms of energy. That we as energy came from a source (you can view it as god) and that we are just little pieces of this source that is experiencing all there is to experience through many different life times. Eventually returning back to the source.

So I believe that reincarnation is not eternal, but something that we do until we've experienced what we needed to.

What about lesbians and gays they don't find their other half so this can't really work because they don't go looking for them their whole life

You all have interesting perspectives. But tanner your claim doesn't much apply. Homosexuality is A a personal choice or B a mental chemical imbalance. That's putting it technically. But your beliefs are your beliefs and mine are mine. No one can change what I believe.

I apologize. I misunderstood you. But to answer your question if your soulmate turns out to be gay/lesbian then it's possible you will not have your soulmate for that life because the two of you don't get together. If both of you are homosexual then that's great. Or if one is gay and the other straight, the straight one could turn gay from falling in love or the gay person turns straight for the same reason of falling in love. There's no telling what could happen until it happens. You two could be on opposite sides of earth and meet or never meet. You could be sitting in front of the person for years in school not even knowing that he/she is your soulmate. But no matter what it's all about the. Choices you make that make the difference.

As a reply to your original post, disregarding whatever has been said since it:

In Norse practices, which is what I mainly follow, reincarnation is mentioned several times throughout the eddas, sagas, and various other literature in direct context.

A very prominent example of this: The Lay of Helgi(I and II), which are found in the Poetic Edda, mainly centers around this idea. ”Of Helgi and Svava, it is said that they were born again.” "”Helgi was the name of a king whose daughter was
Sigr´un. She became a valkyrie and rode the air and over the sea. She was Svava born again.”

Orlog is a giant component of Asatru practice, and a big part of Norse beliefs. It's too complex to fit into this reply, so I'll summarize it to say: It was believed that every person had inherited part of their soul from their parents and ancestors. It was thought to be important because it was believed that if you had done something bad, it would be passed down through your heritage. So, in a sense, this would be a type of reincarnation I think.
