You don't need to do a ritual to become a "full witch." If you cast spells then you are, by definition, a witch. You can perform a dedication and/or initiation ritual(s) to express your dedication to your deities and to initiate yourself into the religion, however.

She's right, you don't need to do it to become a witch, because by doing rituals and practicing magick it can define you as a witch (some don't define themselves that way). However, if you feel you want to do an initiation ritual or some form of celebration to mark it, you're welcome to!

basically to become a 'full witch' [which just so you know isn't real, you can become a witch, no one masters witchcraft, no one's unworthy either] you need to study for a year and a day, then, once you've decided to dedicate yourself to the God and Goddess, you should have a purifying bath [quickly jump into a tub with salt water] then have aregular ceremony where you say you have choosen to follow the path of a witch.

if you have a coven or a set path [shamanism, reiki, so on] then you might have to do something different, but for the most part, that's it. that's what i did, then when i choose to study dragon magic i did a guided meditation. think of it this way, in christianity to convert, you need to study, then you are baptized and are seen as a christian.
