Don't jump into spells at first. Learn the Basics. If you don't, you're not gonna go far in Magick. I assure you. After you've learnt your Basics efficiently, you can cast a spell. Protection spells are usually recommended for beginners.

The Basics:Tools,Meditation, Visualization, Moon Phases, Colors, Days, grounding and centering, power flow, Elements, circle casting, Charkas.

Google, search, study, learn , practise...
