Well, I don't know any books. But you have the internet? So why not type in "elemental magick" or "alchemy"? Oh and by the way, do you mean alchemy as in herbs? As real alchemy is a use of metals

www.sacred-texts.com is the best free source on alchemy texts

As for element, there is loads of info out there. It's the basis of all magick.

Stoney, do you enjoy "correcting" people?

Nearly all, if not every, "type" of magick has the "base" of elements within the core of their philosophies and practises. Therefore elements are a base of all magick. I've yet to come across a magick that doesn't include the elements in its belief. (Different elements sometimes, but elements nonetheless)

Energy is matter, it is everything that exists spiritually and physically. Everything has energy. But magick itself is not energy, magick is the manipulation of energy. We do not create the energy, the energy is drawn from either our spirit (which is considered an element too), or drawn from nature/elements. However in order to manipulate that energy we relate to nature through the elements that it embodies. Everything has the base of energy. Energy is life, nature, all that is. And most believe that nature can be broken down into the elements. But magick is a way to live and cause change. Magick to energy can be compared with cooking to food. We must understand nature (through the elements) to use magick to its full potential. Just as we must understand the blend of flavors to create a gourmet meal.

This is a bit like those Matryoshka dolls. Energy is in the very center, creation around that, that formed nature, that is made of elements. And magick encircles them all. I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with you, because this is a debate that can go round and round. But I feel that there was no need to correct me. However, I was challenged and I accepted. =)

only when they are inaccurate, White...especially when they post as much as you do. people listen to those who answer a lot, so it's important to give accurate information.

Stoney, I was referring to and answering the topic question. I was saying that element magick is the basis of all magicks, therefore in homosapien's search for information on "element magick" he need not look very hard. It's the most common subject and everywhere. I'm sorry that my answer wasn't to your liking, but I didn't see you answering it yourself either.

"Energy" had nothing to do with the original post. By only coming in to "correct" me, having no explaination of the correction, and not having anything to say about the actual topic, that is considered "trolling". Now I know you're not a troll, so don't do that! You're better than that.

I know you don't like me. And that's fine with me. But if you're going to "correct" me or troll me, please at least give a decent explaination to your reasonings. I always enjoy a good debate and unlike you, I have no ill feelings toward anyone on this board. We do not agree? So what! You have your opinions and I have mine. But that is what a discussion board is for. I like people who disagree with me. It makes life interesting. It would be boring if everyone agreed.

Grumpy bear needs a hug! Come on now! Crack a smile. =)
