Personal Bio
My full name is Brighid Ameretat Pendragon, but I sign my name Brighid.A.P. for short. I am very grateful for my name, because each one holds a very powerful meaning. For those of you who don't know what those meanings are: Brighid: Means "exalted one". In Irish mythology this was the name of the goddess of fire, poetry and wisdom, the daughter of the god Dagda Ameretat: Means "immortality" in Avestan. This was the name of a Zoroastrian goddess (one of the Amesha Spenta) of plants and long life. Pendragon: Means "head dragon" or "chief dragon" (a figurative title referring to status as a leader) I am quite serious about witchcraft, though I have only just begun acquainting myself within the magical realm. It's all so fascinating, and eye-opening. It provides me with knowledge and opportunity for me to step into the skin of the person I really am. Ironically enough, though, I never used to give Wicca/Paganism/Witchcraft a second thought before. But in June of 2012, what started as a visit into online peasant clothing shops, turned into me finding a Wiccan website (http://www.wicca-spirituality.com/index.html). After this, I made a journal, covered it in hot glue and stones, titled it Book of Shadows and went out and bought $60 worth of other magickal journals. Each journal I have is now quite full, if not used up completely. In these journals I have (in order): notes, spells, rituals, hopes, dreams, wishes, etc. And while I have so much information gathered in 2 months, I still consider myself a witch-in-training. So what drew me to Wicca? I have strange abilities. Abilities I want to be able to grasp and have a better understanding of. And believe me or don't when I list the following things I can do: -Feel Color -Lucid Dream Naturally (always have been) -See Future Events -Read Minds -Understand What Animals Say/Need -Have A Sense Of The Presence Of The Dead -Remember Things In First-Person Point Of View From When I Was A Baby -Feel Emotions Of Other People (I am an empath) Often times these gifts are awesome, but other times they make me feel alone. The mind reading ability also bothers me, since I have no control over it, and if I try to listen, the thought goes away. I don't quite understand it. But with Wicca, I'm beginning to train myself in ways I never thought possible, and therefore I am strengthening all my abilities, causing me to feel more powerful than I ever knew I could feel. Message me if you have any questions regarding wicca or you simply want to talk. I'm always open to converse in logical discussions, and/or help those who find themselves wrapped in a tangled web of confusion :) ~Brighid.A.P.~
