Personal Bio
More about me.
I would like to begin by saying, I am NOT here to play games, I am here as a student of the craft, seeking knowledge and enlightenment, and willing to share what knowledge I have found.
I was born and raised in a small town in Western Kansas. Raised with the small town tradition, of helping one another, being a gentleman, of treating people with respect. On of my favorite spots and still is, is the small river that runs by the western side of town.
I went to college and studied religion and theology, graduated with a BA. Went to one year of Seminary, were it seemed like a cemetery. In college I was taught to think about and explore my beliefs, but in seminary, I felt they wanted me to be a puppet, accepting what they said as truth and to not question them. I kept a C average but was short of their expectations, so was not allowed continue my eduction there. I seem to drift from church to church never seeming to find the answers I was seeking. So my solitary life seemed to absorb my religious beliefs as well. My faith in God remains strong but my faith in man and church is a little cold.
I dated a Native American while I was in seminary, and became more involved with their traditions of respecting the land and what it has to offer. But I still hung on to my belief in one true God. I do accept the idea of spiritual guides and that they can assist us in our life.
I enjoy cooking, and most my life I have held a job that kept me involved with the food service business. Just over three years ago I found a job working at the dept of corrections and have been there since.
Since the prison system is a small community with diverse ways of life and beliefs it is hard not to be exposed to the many different religions practiced there. It was there I was reintroduced to the Native American belief system, and the Wicca path of enlightenment. It is only in the past couple of months that I have taken a serious interest in the Wiccan path and have started seriously pursuing the path of enlightenment.
Blessed be to the ones who read this, may they find their way through the darkness and be guided by the light of truth.
Favorite quotes:
You don't become a Wiccan or witch, you either are one or your not.
Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.
My voice is but a whisper in the wind, only those who are patient and listen for it will hear it.
