Merry meet!!
Here is my history as to why I am following the Goddess again.
My journey to the Goddess started when I was 18. It was during my first year of college when a classmate of mine was helping me with Tarot. She was the one who introduced me to Paganism. Herself, along with her mother were both Pagans involved with an eclectic coven in my hometown. Learning about the different pantheons helped with my Tarot readings, as I was understanding the mythology & symbolism the cards held. I borrowed books upon books from her, from Cunningham to Starhawk, I couldn't get enough. I felt privileged when I was invited to my 1st ritual, Samhain. There I met with the coven's High Priestess & High Priest. When the circle was cast, I got to invoke the west.
One day, shortly after, while I was at work, my father found my BOS in my room. He read it & freaked, thought I was involved in a devil worshiping cult (as most ppl think Paganism is, when they don't understand it's mysteries). To make a long story short, I watched him burn my BOS, my books I had gotten & my Tarot cards in the fireplace. I was told never to get involved in Paganism again or I'll be disowned. Obviously, I didn't listen to him.
Fast forward 13 years later, I felt the call of the Goddess one day as I was coming home from my work. It was completely a random experience while travelling home on the bus. I don't know how to explain it, but it was like a little whisper in my ear, a tug to come home. So, for the past 2 years, I've been reading, searching on the net, & joining different groups on FB. I've been learning more than I can imagine & I'm still learning. I've been attending moots in my city each month, connecting with some Pagans. I haven't been to another ritual since I started attending moots, due to my work schedule & no one willing to trade shifts with me...I chalk it up to being not quite ready yet.
I know that this is a long-winded bio of where I am in my path. I am still seeking to get to know the Goddess. I, as of yet, do not know my Matron & Patron, but I've been meditating and hopefully will get to know them very soon.
