"Bide the Witches' Law ye must, In perfect Love and perfect Trust." -from The Wiccan Rede What I have learned is that we must banish fear from our psyche's. Even if we don't think so, I believe we all are afraid on some level. In order to operate/function "properly" we must banish fear. Only in Love can we truly be free and in that freedom there is unlimited power. Which we access through our trust by abandoning self doubt. The Devine IS Love, and we are all naturally a part of that Divine Essence. We proceed, or are born of that Reality. This is what I think. Therefore, when we, as Witches excercise our place in the universe we are acting naturally. Unfortunately, because of some unfortunate religeous properganda, some of us feel as though we are "trespassing" whenever we seek to pierce beyond the vail, if you will. Yet, if we recognize our "belonging" to Creation, and not being alien or foriegn to it, then we our empowered completely to achieve our goals and wishes. It only takes time, disapline, and patience. So, remember, "if it harm none, do what you will..." This is a very basic but profound truth for me. If you have any ideas, comments, insights etc. I would be interested in hearing from you so please feel free to drop me a line. -MOG -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 of every 10 people is instantly put down, given bad labels, left alone, put in a minority and so much more.. all for something they didn't ask for. Many gay teens are committing suicide as a way of escaping. If you want to tell them life will get better and you respect them for who they ...are, put this on your profile, most of you won't, but let's see the 5% of you who will -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 27 THE SORCERER A Sorcerer by the power of his magick had subdued all things to himself. Would he travel? He could fly through space more swiftly than the stars. Would he eat, drink, and take his pleasure? there was none that did not instantly obey his bidding. In the whole system of ten million times ten million spheres upon the two and twenty million planes he had his desire. And with all this he was but himself. Alas! - from THE BOOK OF LIES, by Aleister Crowley ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ecclesiastes 12 1Remember also thy Creators in days of thy youth, While that the evil days come not, Nor the years have arrived, that thou sayest, `I have no pleasure in them.' 2While that the sun is not darkened, and the light, And the moon, and the stars, And the thick clouds returned after the rain. 3In the day that keepers of the house tremble, And men of strength have bowed themselves, And grinders have ceased, because they have become few. And those looking out at the windows have become dim, 4And doors have been shut in the street. When the noise of the grinding is low, And [one] riseth at the voice of the bird, And all daughters of song are bowed down. 5Also of that which is high they are afraid, And of the low places in the way, And the almond-tree is despised, And the grasshopper is become a burden, And want is increased, For man is going unto his home age-during, And the mourners have gone round through the street. 6While that the silver cord is not removed, And the golden bowl broken, And the pitcher broken by the fountain, And the wheel broken at the well. 7And the dust returneth to the earth as it was, And the spirit returneth to God who gave it. 8Vanity of vanities, said the preacher, the whole [is] vanity. 9And further, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge, and gave ear, and sought out -- he made right many similes. 10The preacher sought to find out pleasing words, and, written [by] the upright, words of truth. 11Words of the wise [are] as goads, and as fences planted [by] the masters of collections, they have been given by one shepherd. 12And further, from these, my son, be warned; the making of many books hath no end, and much study [is] a weariness of the flesh. 13The end of the whole matter let us hear: -- `Fear God, and keep His commands, for this [is] the whole of man. 14For every work doth God bring into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether good or bad.' -Book of Eccl. Chp. 12, The Holy Bible, Young's Literal Translation --------------------------------------------------------------------------“You can have the best intentions in the world, informing your actions and your magic, but what people forget is that it’s the consequences of your actions and the impact of your magic that are remembered, long after the intention has faded away.” – From Sayings of a Wise Fool.
