Psalm 5

  • If you have business to transact with your magistrates or with your princes, and desire to obtain their special favor, then pray this Psalm early at the rising of the Sun and in the evening at sunset.

  • Do this three times over pure olive oil, while at the same time you think unceasingly, upon the holy name of  Chananjah (merciful God), anoint your face, hands and feet with the oil.

Then pray:

  • Be merciful unto me, for the sake of thy great, adorable and holy name, Chananjah, turn the heart of my prince to me, and grant that he may regard me with gracious eyes, and let me find favor and courtesy with him. Amen! — Selah! —

Still another peculiarity of this Psalm is, when you find notwithstanding the utmost industry and care, your business does not prosper, and you have reason to fear that an evil Masal, that is, an evil star, spirit or destiny is opposing you, then pray this Psalm daily, even to the last verse with great devoutness, and you will soon find yourself in more favorable circumstances.

In Hoodoo Psalm 5 is prayed for:

  • Used in spell casting and prayers while anointing with oil, to gain the favor of political authorities, officers of the law, or social superiors, for the purpose of success in business endeavors.

  • This Psalm is also prayed daily for the purpose of uncrossing a business or financial venture from evil conditions or from the negative effects of meddling spirits.

  • If an evil spirit is upon you, pray it until the last verse, and it will leave.

  • To find favor with anyone

Psalm 5

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
