Spell CastingThis is the second of a series of spells that I am writing based on my article “Thirteen Steps to a Great Spell”. To start with you will need to have an idea of the love you want to attract. Be specific about the love you want to attract and the relationship you wish to have. You can be specific about the physical desires you have, the personality that you would like the person to have, but do not do a work to cause a specific person to fall in love with you. Make sure that it is possible for you to have the relationship you want to have. Also, you should do a divination such as a Tarot reading or astrological forecast to confirm that there are no factors working against you that you are not aware of. Make sure that you are not focused on making a specific person fall in love with you, taking a person away from someone else or bending someone else to your will. If you want it by a certain date, make note of that. Start doing the mundane work to attract and keep your relationship. Make sure that you have the necessary communication and listening skills. If you do not, acquire them. Get out and start meeting people. Become sociable. You can not meet the right person if you never meet anyone. Romantic love falls under the jurisdiction of Venus. Venus is the planet of love and romance. If you are already in a relationship and wish to rekindle romance this would also be a good choice. If you want to improve communication and relations in the relationship Mercury would be better. In this spell let us assume that you are not in a relationship and are looking for one. The actual spellwork should be done on the appropriate day and hour. Since you are using Venus the day is Friday. If you can not do the spell on the appropriate day, the next best choice is to do it any day, but during the appropriate hour. You do not have to involve others with this spell, since it is a spell for your benefit. Unless, of course, you want to. You will be calling upon the powers of Venus, so you may want to call upon a deity associated with Venus, such as Aphrodite, Isis, Astarte, YHVH Tzabaoth or Freya. If you are familiar with kabbalistic correspondences, you could call upon the spirit or the archangels and angels of Venus. You would want to be doing this in a circle or temple that is properly opened since you will be calling on the planetary forces. You should collect a green candle (green being the color associated with Venus) and rose incense at a minimum. You may also want to have an emerald stone. The rose flower is also associated with Venus. You can also draw the planetary symbol for Venus on paper in Green with a red background. You can also do some research on the deity(s) that you are working with to find out what is sacred to them and put it on your altar as well. Now comes the time to write your spell. So, you will do whatever opening and closing for a circle or a temple that you normally use. You will then be invoking the energies of Venus by drawing a Venus hexagram with your wand. Start from the bottom right point and draw the first triangle. Draw it in a clockwise motion. Then, draw the second triangle, also clockwise, starting from the top left corner. Both triangles should be drawn in green, and afterwards draw the astrological symbol for Venus in the middle. Then, call out the deity’s name you are going to be working with. Call it out seven times (seven is the number of Venus). If you are calling on more than one deity call out each deitiy’s name seven times. Now, get a clear vision of the love you want. See yourself with him or her. Imagine what it will sound like to be in that relationship. Most of all, feel how it will feel to be in it. Make it as real as possible in your mind. Once you can see it and feel it, call out “Oh forces of Venus! I invoke ye! Be here this day (night) and aid this work to attract love by (date). (If you are calling upon a deity here, you can use the same phrase, replacing “forces of Venus” with the deity’s name.) With the light and energy of this candle, and with this scent of rose, I call to you. Lend your energy to the purpose of attracting love by (date).” (If you have a stone, plant or other association on the altar, repeat this for each replacing “light and energy of this candle” with “energy of this stone” or whatever object you have.) As you call upon each deity, the planet and every other correspondence, see the hexagram of Venus becoming brighter and brighter. Now, when you have called up energy and the hexagram and planetary symbol shine with a bright green, draw that energy into you and project it into your mental image of the new love and relationship. See and feel it being empowered and energized. Finally, project the energized image into the hexagram. See it drift into it and into the universe to be made manifest. Once this is accomplished, you may feel slightly drained, and the hexagram and planetary symbol will be dim in your mind’s eye. Once you do, ground yourself to let any excess energy that may be remaining to be removed. Thank all of the deities you may have called upon, and the powers of Venus. Give them leave to depart. Remember, you do not banish deities. Then, draw the hexagram for Venus again, starting from the same points for each of the triangles but moving in a counterclockwise direction. This will banish the energies of Venus. Finally, close the temple or circle in your style. Now that you have everything prepared and know what you are going to do, on the appropriate day and hour, do it! Once it is done, do not talk about it until it comes into being. Let the energy do its work, know that it is happening, and it will manifest. Magic spells for everyone, anytime, any occasion.
