1. Archangel Michael: Prince of the Heavenly Host. Commander of God?s army. Also an angel of death and healing. He is the archangel of protection, Spiritual Warfare, courage, death, sick people, and war. He is known for leading the angelic armies who cast Satan out of heaven. His archenemy is Satan. In Catholicism, he visits the souls of all the people who died in order to invite them into Heaven. His element is fire in Magic. Michael?s role is similar to that of a deity of war and protection.
2. Archangel Gabriel: His name means The Power of God. He is the Archangel of prophecy, revelations, visions, dream interpretation, and messengers. He is known for delivering prophecies to various people throughout the Bible. He helped the prophet Daniel interpret his dreams. He is the patron saint of contemplative life in Catholicism. His element is water in Magic. Gabriel?s role is similar to that of a messenger deity.
3. Archangel Raphael: Raphael is the Archangel of Healing. He is considered the patron saint of apothecaries, herbalists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and travelers. He is known for teaching Tobit how to make a potion to cure his blindness. He also protects travelers from harm and is known for warding off demons. He is one of the leaders of the Virtues, angels that have power over nature and miracles. His element is air in Magic. Raphael?s role is similar to a deity of healing.
4. Archangel Uriel: The fire/light of God. Uriel is the Archangel of Knowledge, Wisdom, Insight, Divine Magic, Enlightenment, and Prophecy. He is also the angel of Salvation and repentance and watches over Hell. In Catholicism, he is known for being being the angel of purgatorial flames. Uriel is known for his ability to predict the future and has also imparted esoteric knowledge onto prophets such as Enoch and Ezra. He is the patron saint of the arts and sciences. He is also the angel of poetry. He is believed to be the angel who checked the doors for lamb?s blood in Egypt. He is also an angel of retribution in Judaism. His element is Earth in Magic. Uriel?s role is similar to a deity of Knowledge.
