Mid Summers dinner prayer
We pray hear this day, this hour; buy All forces of the creative power
We feast this mid summers Eve as our ancestors have done centuries past. While our way of worship and food preparation may have changed our ties to this earth remain. We bid acknowledgement to All this midsummer. While many of our food sources come from the store, we recognize it must still come from the earth and if the spirit of the Earth falters so too do the children residing upon her. Now remains the time of honor for the harvest of grain and vine as well as the early fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish that will continue to sustain us throughout the coming months of darkness. Our garden and earth are abundant with food for her children as well as animals and nature?s cycle continues with another turning of the wheel.
