Cherokee Prayer Blessing

This is a blessing which is a lovely gift to give to someone as they move into a new home. It is not a spell as such but adds a special vibration all its own.

You Will Need:

  • Paper or parchment;

  • Pen;

  • Incense such as Nine Woods Incense.

 

Firstly, light the incense. On the paper write (or have inscribed if you do not have a steady hand) the following words:

''May the Warm Winds of Heaven Blow softly upon your house. May the Great Spirit Bless all who enter there. May your Mocassins Make happy tracks in many snows, and may the Rainbow always touch your shoulder.''

Pass the parchment through the smoke three times and present the gift neatly rolled. The Cherokee philosophy is that even the smallest drop of Cherokee blood makes one a Cherokee. While few people can lay claim to such ancestry we can share the awareness that we are all inter-related .
