Herbal remedies for some common alignments.

 

  • Aloe (The gelfrom the aloe leaf can soothe minor burns or cuts)
  • Arnica (The cream or oil can aid bruises or sprains) *Toxic in high amounts
  • Apple (General healer; An apple a day will keep the doctor away)
  • Calendula(The cream is an antiseptic and antifungal)
  • Chamomile (Treats stress and will promote sleep)
  • Clove (The oil is an antiseptic for cuts and treats toothaches) *Possible Irritant
  • Crystallized Ginger (Chewing it aids motion/morning sickness)
  • Eucalyptus Oil (Inhale for colds, coughs, and respiratory issues)
  • Garlic (Rub the crushed garlic on pimples or corns to treat them)
  • Ginger (Chewing crystalized ginger will ease nausea and prevent travel sickness)
  • Lavender Oil (Rub on neck or temples to aid headaches. Treats sunburns)
  • Onion (Place fresh slices on insect bites or stings. Can treat rashes or hives)
  • Peppermint (Drinking peppermint tea will ease indigestion and nausea)
  • St. John’s Wort Oil (Treats minor burns and sunburn)
  • Slippery Elm (The powder treats splinters and boils)
  • Tea Tree Oil (A good antiseptic & antifungal; cleans wounds)
  • Toothpaste (Treats pimples) *Use sparingly
  • Witch Hazel Extract(Treats minor burns, insect bites, nosebleeds, & cuts)

Although this is good information I'm trying to raise awareness that pet safety warnings should be included in posts about certain herbs and oils. It could save a life.
