History and magical properties of fly agaric (Amanita muscaria)

Most fungi are used in shamanism and sorcery to achieve a certain status and trance. The tradition of consumption of fly agaric (Amanita muscaria) is well known among the peoples of the north-east Siberia. It is known that the consumption of mushrooms in particular was widely distributed among the Koryak, used them as the southern Pacific Ocean south of the Chukchi and Itelmen. The Chukchi used the mushroom usually in dried form. Mushrooms are harvested for future use, drying and stringing three pieces on a thread. If you use small pieces of torn, carefully chewed and swallowed with water. In Koryak was distributed custom, when a woman chews the fungus and gives the man swallowed the cud. In Western Siberia, fly agaric eating raw or drinking a decoction of dried mushrooms.

Eating amanita, people can easily come into contact with the spirits, take on some of their mystical powers, and sometimes may even get yourself (feel like) fungi. Apparently, only the individual is likely physiologically predisposed individuals, one of the permanent incentives to accept fly agaric was precisely the desire for contact with the spirit world, finding new mystical possibilities granted by the spirits of the elements.

Amanita grows in deciduous, coniferous and mixed forests, most often in birch, often abundantly, singly and in large groups, from June until the autumn frosts. A typical mushroom cap with a red and white dots. Find this fall for what the news is not a problem. And here I am acquainted with all the material available to me on the subject and talking with the spirits of the forest, he went to pick mushrooms. After earning a solid basket of mushrooms, I cooked them, all three methods, tested and refined the technology, according to old recipes for the peoples of Siberia. When collecting and harvesting of mushrooms, there are a few rules:

Collect only the type of mushroom Amanita Muscaria, after referring to their appearance and the description of poisonous toadstools.

Need to collect small mushrooms with lots of white dots - they are the content of substances above.

The active ingredients are concentrated in the cap, so the legs do not necessarily take the mushrooms.

Dry fly agaric may be in the sun or indoors, strung them on a string. Drying in an oven or the oven is not recommended.Drying is a must - with toxic ibotenic acid is converted into less toxic muscimol, which in large part explains the effect of the fungus.Once the mushrooms are completely dry, store them in a dry place at room temperature.

Here are two very old recipe Siberian fly agaric consumption:

Muhomorny tea.

  1. Boil a small amount of water you can drink at one time, as tastes pretty nasty.
  2. Add some crushed vitamin C pills or lemon juice, this will increase the acidity of the water, but there is no certainty that this is necessary. (I think it's a good trick since I read that the active ingredients mushroom water leached and acidic environment to minimize this)
  3. Pour the chopped mushrooms. (Not more than 1-2 units per first time!)
  4. Let simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
  5. In the last three minutes of boiling, add tea bag to kill the taste of mushrooms.
  6. Strain, discard the mushrooms, leaving the liquid.
  7. Cool and add the sugar. (I would not be added - a sickly sweet)
  8. Muhomorny tea is ready.

Smoking toadstools

To take smoking dried skin of the upper red cap mushrooms with white scales and yellow layer beneath it. Its finely milled, add a little aromatic herbs such as mint. The dosage is not certain.

The effects of smoking toadstools are much softer than that of oral administration. Sometimes they are almost invisible, sometimes it's a sense of uplift your mood and an excess of vitality and energy.
