I wonder if anyone here uses music in their spell work, rituals, etc...

I do personally. I like to put together playlists on my phone or tablet to help invoke a mood or thought form, to aid with invoking the spirits/deities/elementals in the endeavor I am performing. Just as in a church setting, they employ the use of hymns to guide the worshippers to a line of thought & feelings, I too use music for similar reasons.

Let me give an example: Last week I made a batch of black salt for Light Work (protection from evil, to dispelled evil & negativity). Before I began, I assembled a list of songs for that purpose:
Beatles - Get Back
Bon Jovi - Runaway
Flock Of Seagulls - And I Ran (So Far Away)
Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Patty Smyth - Goodbye To You
Slade - Run Runaway
The Animals - We Gotta Get Outta This Place

This helped me get into the mood for for the intended purpose of my work, plus I had hoped to imbue my black salt with that musical theme, that evil would flee and run away from me and whatever it was my salt was safe guarding. I played that music and sang along at times while I ground my charcoal, mixed it with salt & burnt incense upon it to help "charge" the mixture, to give it additional power.

Does anyone else do that? Is this something you might consider employing in your spellcasting in the future?

I choose songs from my day that I am familiar with & know the lyrics to, it helps to "personalize" my work, kinda like a signature. If you're into country or hiphop music, I suggest you pick music in the genre you are familiar with and going from there.
