Hey guys I'm new to this. So my question is how do spells work?

Like for instance if I or someone else were to cast a spell to make me appear more attractive, would it just give me confidence to make me FEEL more attractive, or would people actually view me as more attractive?

Or how do money spells work? Does it put you in a position to make/come across money, like making it easier for money to come to you?

I'm just using these two as examples to get a better idea of how it works.
