I'm a 17 year old who was raised heavily in Catholicism. Despite having a mind hardwired for nothing but logic that makes faith nearly impossible for me, I have never doubted in the supernatural. I don't want to sound arrogant, but I seem to have somewhat psychic tendencies, and after an experience with ghosts at the age of 5, I never once doubted the supernatural world exists.
I had an intense fascination in all things theological and mythical from a young age, brought on from an intense interest in Japanese animation and a knowledge and sense of spirits. As I got older and more involved in the internet, I began to study things even more intensely, and even started developing my mental powers. They're still nothing too impressive, but I can see the basic, color-less auras of anyone I look at now, and sense things more strongly. Finally, after an emotional breakdown a few months ago, after my second trip to Salem, Massachusetts, I cast my first spell.
I came to this site recently after having started my first Book of Shadows and was looking for some basic blessings. But I also want to learn more of the basics of the Craft, so that I don't go about causing mayhem and destruction trying to bring myself some good luck.
There ARE a few things I know about magick with only casting 4 spells total.
1) I know enough to know that, in the event that I'm not sure are wary of something, I shouldn't mess with it. (This includes Ouija, daemons, and other assorted entities that can take over my body)
and 2) If I do bad things with the power of the universe, I'll receive something my friend eloquently dubbed 'the karmic bitch slap'
So, hopefully I can get to know some people and network on here.
